Don Cogswell, is a free-lance highly respected boxing historian, photographer, and author. He is the President and Executive Director of the International Boxing Research Organization (IBRO). As a world-class boxing historian his tireless and unselfish dedication to meticulously research thousands of newspaper archives over a span of twenty-five years has resulted in the discovery of rare articles and never before found boxing results. If it were not for Don’s unselfish and tireless research we would not have anywhere near the number of up-to-date records of boxers and their historical impact that we have today. Don is also co-author of the highly acclaimed book UnCrowned Champions. This book covers the careers of ten great fighters who plied their trade against the best of their generation but were denied a title shot. Woven in between each fighter’s biography are excellent essays describing boxing’s evolving landscape from the 1880s through the 1950s.
